Mark your calendar now for Saturday March 17, 2012 from 12p-6p...Shamrock The Block is back!

Shamrock The Block is FREE to attend, with great food, live music all day and plenty o' green beverages for you to enjoy safely, so bring a designated driver. Last year, 25,000 of your neighbors poured into the streets of historic Shockoe Bottom for this first outdoor event of the season. We've expanded the kid's activities, the band lineup and have more things to do and see.

Greater Richmond SCAN has been a long time friend of the Shamrock The Block Festival. Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated solely to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect in the Greater Richmond area. SCAN was founded in 1991 in response to the rapidly growing rate of child abuse and neglect in the City of Richmond and its surrounding counties. SCAN is an affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse Virginia. Please visit their website and support their programs.

We'd also like to thank the members of the Shockoe Bottom Neighborhood Association for their support of Shamrock The Block. Do the same and support your local Shockoe Bottom merchants.

The Halligan Bar and Grill is a unique firefighter themed restaurant with decor that has been hand selected to promote the lifestyle and brotherhood of Richmond’s fire service members. The Halligan Bar and Grill has the most eyecatching bar in the city with a full sized real fire engine behind the bar. The beer taps are located on the pump panel of the truck and the lights and siren really work. So come down to the Farmers’ Market and stop by the Halligan Bar and Grill to check out the memorabilia and the awesome BBQ. Get there early because this little hometown pub fills up quickly!
